Now you probably to take some consideration in what your doing and how your looking. “It’s time to find your first date.”
First you want to research the place that your going to be looking for women at. There are many places that would be considered the hot spots.
1.) Coffee House
A cozy coffee house is a great place for a first date. The lounge setting allows both you and your date to feel more comfortable and relaxed when talking and getting to know one another. Some coffee houses even have fireplaces and live music. Just take it easy on the caffeine, or before you know it you will be talking a mile a minute and sweating like a crazy person.
2.) Walk in the Park
There is nothing sweeter than a walk in the park. If you’re more active, kick up your park visit with a bike ride or a hike. You can also make your date more romantic with a packed picnic. Some parks have playgrounds and scenic views.
3.) Sporting Event
Sporting events make a great first date, especially if both you and your date are fans. Sporting events are both entertaining and upbeat. You can even plan to meet up with friends afterwards if you want to take off some of the pressure of the date. One of the best sporting events for a date is baseball, since it’s more chill.
4.) Miniature Golf
Ahhh … putt putt! Who doesn’t love a game of mini golf!? You may even be able to help your date learn how to putt correctly … (wink, wink). Some times in a situation like this you can joke around and nudge your date when they are trying to putt. It allows for you to be a little more hands on. But if you are really competitive and a sore loser, you may want to stay away from this option.
5.) Live Music
Find out what kind of music your date likes and try to find a local venue where they are playing. Sometimes bands come to local coffee houses or fairs to play. That’s always really fun to see with someone you like. The music may be too loud to chat, so make sure you plan time before or after to get some talking in.
6.) Museum
Visiting a local museum could be a fun way to spend an afternoon. You can find out from your date what they like and are interesting in. Also, you can see which museums they haven’t been to and try to go to one of those. Just the fact that you are trying to learn more about them and do something they are interested in should score you some points.
7.) Ice Skating/Roller Skating
If there is a rink near you, you should seriously consider going there on a first date. Skating is fun … and even if you fall, you are sure to win some humor points. Another thing about skating is that you can pretend to not be so great at it and ask for help, which typically means hand-holding!
8.) Zoo
Not only is going to the zoo free, but who doesn’t like seeing baby animals running around and being silly!? It’s the best. If the weather is right and you can time it nicely, you might just hit a day where a lot of the animals are out and about. Just make sure to wear comfortable shoes, because you are sure to do a lot of walking!
9.) Arcade
Arcades are super fun for a first date and some even have climbing walls, paintball and laser tag. Do some research to find a cool one near you and your date will definitely have a good time. Just make sure to not be too competitive unless your date likes that. But remember … no one likes a sore loser! You won’t get to date #2 with a sucky attitude.
10.) Amusement Park
What can be more fun then an amusement park with roller coasters, stuffed animals and funnel cakes? Not much! You might want to check with your date first and make sure they don’t get motion sickness. That would NOT make for such a great time.
SO CONSIDER YOUR CHOICE TO BE VERY IMPORTANT BECAUSE YOU MAY NOT GET ANOTHER SHOT.
“Now lets consider what you can and cannot due.”
Do Be Yourself
When you are on a date, you want to make a great impression — yet you can be really nervous, so sometimes it might be hard to come across as yourself. It is so important to be honest and just let your true colors shine through. If your date doesn’t like you for YOU, then you don’t want to date him/her anyway.
Do Be a Good Listener
Seriously, just close your mouth for a couple of minutes and listen to what your date says. Not only will you probably learn something, but your date will be so much more attracted to you. Listening shows your date that you actually care about what he/she has to say.
Do Try and Have Fun
Even though you are nervous it is important to shake your jitters and actually try and have some fun. Obviously you are dating this person for a reason, so enjoy his/her company and whatever activity the two of you decide to do on your date. If you focus on having fun and enjoying spending time with your date, it will go well.
Do Make Eye Contact
This is essential to making sure your date is a success. Making eye contact with your date shows that you are fully there, meaning listening, staying interested and engaged with him/her. Fight the nerves and urge to stare at your feet and look into your date’s eyes when the two of you are speaking.
Do Give Compliments
You like this person, so take the opportunity to compliment him/her on their appearance, the information they share with you and anything else that makes sense in the moment. Both guys and girls respond well to compliments because it reinforces that you like them and appreciate them. This is vital to a great date.
Do Laugh at His/Her Jokes
Laughter fights the nerves, breaks the ice and reinforces the relationship between you and your date. If your date makes a joke … laugh. It’s really that simple. You don’t want to force laughter, but if you feel it coming on, a giggle goes a long way. There is chemistry in two people laughing in unison.
Dating Don’ts
Don’t Pretend to Be Someone You’re Not
Be proud of who you are. No one is impressed with someone that lies or has to exaggerate who they are. Be yourself and you will find the right person who likes the real you … instead of the made up one.
Don’t Make a Snap Judgement
Guys and girls both get nervous on dates, so try not to make snap judgements about his/her character due to some silly comments and nervous actions. Some times when we are nervous we don’t always act like ourselves, so give someone a second chance if they didn’t completely impress you the first date.
Don’t Talk on the Phone
Seriously, this is typically one of the biggest dating pet peeves. Put your phone on vibrate or simply leave it at home when you are on a date. Not only is it annoying, but it makes your date think that you are not taking your time together seriously. You can manage an hour or two without your cell phone blowing up.
Don’t Be Late
Nothing says, “I don’t take this date or you seriously” like being late. Plan accordingly and BE ON TIME. There is nothing more annoying then leaving your date hanging not knowing if you are standing him/her up or not. If you are running late, then be a decent person and call your date to let him/her know.
Don’t Be Too Aggressive or Direct
There is nothing that will make your date run in the opposite direction then you being too aggressive or direct. Don’t talk about previous relationships, being in love with the person, controversial issues or anything like that. Just chill out and have a good, light-hearted time with your date.
Don’t Leave Him/Her Hangin’
If you like your date and want to see him/her again let them know. When the date comes to an end, you both are unsure about what’s next, so take charge and tell him/her that you would like to get together again. And if you say you are going to call … you BETTER call. There is nothing more frustrating when you like someone and they blow you off.
